Job Summary
Conduct high-complexity cardiology services at a VA Medical Center in downtown Indianapolis, including interpreting transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms for structural heart interventions. Manage a patient-focused team of Nurse Practitioners and access onsite Clinical Pharmacists within an advanced cardiac center featuring Cath and Electrophysiology labs. Maintain a Monday-Friday schedule with light call while participating in the Cardiology fellowship program and teaching service. This role offers a competitive salary, annual performance bonus, and federal pension benefits for a veteran physician.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of ACGME accredited Cardiology fellowship
- BE/BC American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Cardiovascular Disease
- Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia
- United States Citizenship
- Selective Service Registration
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to interpret transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
- Ability to perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Intraprocedural TEE for structural heart interventions
