Job Summary

Conduct high-complexity cardiology services at a VA Medical Center serving central Indiana, including interpreting transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms for structural heart interventions. Lead the expansion of the Cardiology imaging program within an advanced cardiac center featuring Cath, Electrophysiology, and Cardiac Surgery labs. Provide teaching service and academic appointments within a fellowship program supported by onsite Clinical Pharmacists and a patient-focused multidisciplinary team. Maintain a Monday-Friday schedule with light call while accessing a competitive total rewards package including federal pension, performance bonuses, and comprehensive insurance.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of ACGME accredited Cardiology fellowship
  • BE/BC American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Cardiovascular Disease
  • Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia
  • United States Citizenship
  • Selective Service Registration (for males born after 12/31/1959)
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
  • Ability to perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
  • Intraprocedural TEE for structural heart interventions
