Cardiology Nurse (RN)-Cardiovascular Procedures

Job Summary

Conduct cardiovascular procedures including stress testing, Transesophageal Echocardiograms, Cardioversions, Tilt Tables, CCTAs, and NIPS. Evaluate emergency situations, initiate interventions, and collaborate with physicians to address patient problems. Facilitate efficient clinic workflow by maintaining physician lists, answering consult pages, and triaging new admissions with rounding nurses and ARNP's. Assess patients for discharge planning, coordinate home assessments and care, and educate families on new medication therapy. Perform venipunctures, EKGs, and enter data into the EMR while reviewing labs and x-ray reports. Support initiatives to meet length of stay and disease management outcomes to facilitate timely patient discharge.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree Nursing
  • 2 or more years of RN experience
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Multi-State - State Board of Nursing - in state in which you live OR Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing - active with multistate in progress with proof of application
  • Must have current active multistate state Register Nurse (RN) license in good standing in state in which you live OR active single state RN license in good standing in the state you will be working with proof of application of a multistate RN license in the state in which you live
  • Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days
