Job Summary
Provide comprehensive cardiology care to residents in long-term care facilities as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, collaborate with cardiologists to develop and implement treatment plans, administer medications, and conduct cardiac stress tests and EKGs. Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health and medication adherence. Document accurate medical records, ensure CMS/HEDIS/regulatory compliance, and work with an interdisciplinary team to manage complex cardiac cases. Requires an active NP/PA license, Master's degree in nursing, DEA license, CPR/BLS, and prior experience in long-term care; ability to lift 20 pounds and stand/walk up to 6-8 hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
- DEA License
- CPR BCLS/BLS certified
- Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
- Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
