Job Summary
Conduct outpatient cardiology care at the Porter Heart clinic, including patient assessments, diagnostic interpretation, and treatment plan development. Manage short- and long-term heart conditions through history and physicals, while prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic services. Collaborate with interventional cardiologists and vascular surgeons on multidisciplinary care teams, participating in huddles and providing consultation as requested. Deliver education to patients and staff, and contribute to quality indicators and evidence-based practice initiatives. Work M-F without call, nights, or weekends, with a base salary of $147,112 and a $40k sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing
- Approval to practice as an Adult NP (ANP), Family NP (FNP), Geriatric NP (GNP), Women's Health NP (WHNP), Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health NP (APMHNP), Family Psychiatric & Mental Health NP (FPMHNP), Pediatric NP (PNP), or School NP (SNP) by the State Board of Nursing
- Proof of license/certification as a nurse practitioner
- Current RN license in state of practice
- Certification to practice by the State Board of Nursing within a particular population as a nurse practitioner
- Personal DEA license or prescribing and dispensing authority granted by the state board of nursing
- Exemplary professional demeanor and interpersonal relationship skills
- Proficiency in computer applications and database management
Desired Qualifications
- DNP or PhD
- Current BLS certification
- Previous relevant experience
- Graduation from an ACNM accredited nurse-midwifery education program
- Current NRP certification
