Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, interpret diagnostic studies including EKGs and echocardiograms, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans for chronic and acute cardiovascular conditions. Manage follow-up care for patients with hypertension, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, and heart failure while prescribing medications and providing education on disease prevention and lifestyle modification. Order and evaluate lab work, support cardiologists in procedures and clinic operations, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Full-time role with occasional evenings or weekends; Massachusetts licensure and national certification required.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Massachusetts
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current DEA license (or eligibility)
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced specialty environment
