Job Summary
General non-invasive cardiologist opportunity at Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) based at the main Boise campus with outreach clinics 1–2 times per month. The role supports a large cardiovascular program with a Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center, Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery program, and EP/heavy imaging capabilities. Nuclear cardiology skills and echo board certification are preferred but not required. Requirements include MD/DO, completed ABIM/AOBIM cardiovascular disease residency and fellowship with certification (or CSQ within 3 years), and an Idaho and Oregon license with privileges at SARMC–Boise and affiliated hospitals. The package includes sign-on incentives, student loan repayment, relocation, PTO & CME, malpractice tail coverage, health/dental/vision, and retirement contributions. The team includes 21 APPs, multiple surgeons, ICU and CVICU facilities, and a broad established network; call is shared (general 1:7, interventional 1:5).
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- ACGME or AOA cardiovascular disease residency and fellowship
- Board certification ABIM in Cardiovascular Diseases OR AOBIM with CSQ in Cardiology (or eligible within 3 years)
- Current, unrestricted full license in Idaho and Oregon
- Privileges at SAMC Boise and affiliated hospitals
- Echocardiogram interpretation, stress treadmill testing & supervision, defibrillator/pacemaker checks, transesophageal echocardiography (as applicable)
