Job Summary
General non-invasive cardiologist opportunity at Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) Heart Institute in Boise, ID. Join a 20-physician cardiovascular group with a broad program including telemedicine, Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center, minimally invasive surgery, EP lab, and advanced structural heart services. The selected candidate will work primarily at the main campus in Boise with outreach clinics once or twice monthly; call shared 1:7 primary. Nuclear cardiology and echo board certification are preferred but not required. Requires MD/DO with cardiovascular disease residency/fellowship and ABIM in Cardiovascular Diseases or AOBIM CSQ (or within 3 years). Must hold/unrestrict Idaho and Oregon medical licenses and obtain hospital privileges as needed, including ECGs, heart monitoring, echocardiography, stress testing, and device checks. Offers include sign-on, student loan repayment, relocation, PTO/CME, malpractice tail coverage, and retirement plan.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited cardiovascular disease residency and fellowship program
- Board certification through ABIM in Cardiovascular Diseases OR AOBIM with CSQ in Cardiology OR obtain such certification within 3 years of employment
- Current, unrestricted full medical license in Idaho and Oregon
- Privileges at SAMG/SARMC- Boise and affiliated hospitals, including electrocardiograms, heart monitors and echocardiogram interpretation, stress treadmill testing & supervision, stress echo, defibrillator and pacemaker checks as well as transesophageal echocardiography
- Nuclear cardiology skills preferred but not required
- Echo board certification preferred but not required
- Cardiac Catheterization skills not required
- Relocation package available
- Physical hours: Monday - Friday, main Boise campus with outreach clinics 1-2 times per month
