Job Summary
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates seeks a full-time cardiologist specializing in heart failure cardiology. Responsibilities include providing excellent patient care to hospitalized patients and consultations for outpatients, teaching residents and medical students, and maintaining an active research program. Applicants must be board-eligible/board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation and licensed in DC by appointment. Proficiency in complex heart failure management and related procedures is required.
Required Qualifications
- Board-eligible/board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation
- Licensed in the District of Columbia at time of appointment
- Demonstrated skills in Advanced Heart Failure and Mechanical Circulatory Assist Devices
- Complex heart failure management
- Pre and post VAD management
- Cardiac intensive care management
- Right heart catheterization and endomyocardial biopsy skills (preferable)
