Job Summary
Define and execute a roadmap for advanced imaging aligned with Swedish's cardiovascular strategy, leading the launch and growth of Cardiac PET and expanding cardiac MRI/CT programs. Maintain Level III standards for cardiac CT/MRI and implement robust quality programs ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with accreditation standards. Partner with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, and radiology to support advanced procedures, while developing protocols for chest pain imaging in ED and inpatient settings. Mentor physicians and APCs, drive clinical research initiatives, and foster academic partnerships to position Swedish as an innovation hub. Ensure all medical programs align with Swedish Medical Group standards for quality care and that clinicians adhere to SMG guidelines. Collaborate with regional leadership to develop strategic plans, assist with medical staff recruitment, and share accountability for financial performance targets.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Cardiologist in the State of Washington
- Swedish Medical Center medical staff member in good standing
- Board-certified in Specialty
- Drug Licenses
- 5 or more years as a practicing Cardiologist with Level III competency in cardiac MRI, CT, and nuclear imaging
- Participating providers status with Medicare and Medicaid Programs
- 3 or more years of leadership experience as a Medical Director of similar programs
