Provides leadership as team physician and delivers comprehensive cardiovascular care: diagnosing and treating patients, obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, ordering standard diagnostic procedures, evaluating results, developing and implementing patient care plans, educating patients on conditions and self-management, counseling on therapies, prescribing medications, documenting in the EMR, ensuring HIPAA compliance, supervising nurses and technologists, guiding shadowing students and interns, and meeting established quality benchmarks; aims to build a patient population base to generate revenue to cover salary and expenses.
