Job Summary
Record and update vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and patient concerns while assisting physicians with exams, procedures, injections, EKGs, and blood draws. Provide clear patient education and post-visit instructions, document care accurately in electronic medical records, and support Coumadin clinics, pacemaker checks, and monitor setup. Maintain clean, safe clinical areas, complete weekly OSHA checks, and respond to patient inquiries in person and by phone. Collaborate across departments to facilitate timely care and smooth workflow. Requires current LPN license in Louisiana or CMA certification, plus EMR proficiency and phlebotomy skills. Required Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Louisiana
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA
- Experience with EMR systems and accurate clinical documentation
- Proficiency in phlebotomy, EKGs, triage, injections, and assisting in diagnostic testing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered focus
- Organized, adaptable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Committed to professional conduct, safety standards, and continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
