Cardio Medical Assistant

Record and update vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and patient concerns while assisting physicians with exams, procedures, injections, EKGs, and blood draws. Provide clear patient education and post-visit instructions, document care accurately in electronic medical records, and support Coumadin clinics, pacemaker checks, and monitor setup. Maintain clean, safe clinical areas, complete weekly OSHA checks, and respond to patient inquiries in person and by phone. Collaborate across departments to facilitate timely care and smooth workflow. Requires current LPN license in Louisiana or CMA certification, plus EMR proficiency and phlebotomy skills.
