Cardio Catheterization Technician - Cath Lab - Per Diem

Job Summary
Perform a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist physicians in performing complex invasive cardiac catheterization procedures and surgeries. Use imaging equipment to help doctors detect and treat heart and blood vessel issues, taking patients' medical history and answering questions before procedures. Ensure equipment is in good working order, execute noninvasive actions such as ultrasound images, and evaluate images to ensure quality and proper inclusion of the area in question. Communicate with the physician regarding image results and assist with inserting catheters and other invasive procedures while adhering to University policies and safeguarding assets. Requires minimum one year of relevant experience and ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
