Job Summary
The Cardiac Ultrasonographer is responsible for performing specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound using high frequency sound waves to detect anatomical abnormalities. Key duties include administering diagnostic exams, documenting and communicating essential information to healthcare personnel, verifying orders, and ensuring compliance with legal and company policies. The role requires maintaining confidentiality, demonstrating competency with ultrasound equipment, and participating in ongoing education and process improvement initiatives. Candidates must be licensed in Echocardiography Ultrasound and have BLS certification, along with 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced cardiovascular imaging environment. Physical demands include transport of patients, potential exposure to outside conditions and infectious diseases.
Required Qualifications
- Registered in Echocardiography Ultrasound (RCS) by CCI or ARDMS (RDCS)
- BLS certified
- 2-3 years of Cardiovascular imaging experience in a fast paced environment
