Job Summary
Cardiac Telemetry Technician will manage remote ECG tracings data for the Electrophysiology Clinic at CUIMC and support ColumbiaDoctors’ busy multi-specialty practice. The role includes reviewing heartbeat data from home devices, monitoring daily alerts, coordinating patient care with clinical staff, performing device registration and troubleshooting, updating patient records in EPIC and PaceArt, assisting physicians and nurse practitioners, and handling general office duties such as scheduling, calls, and supply management. Requires telemetry certification, knowledge of Medtronic LINQ and AliveCor/Kardia Pro platforms, strong customer service and leadership, and ability to maintain patient confidentiality in a high-pressure healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Telemetry certification
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythm and Medtronic LINQ monitors, programmers, and Carelink Program
- Knowledge of AliveCor devices and Kardia Pro platform
- Excellent customer service and leadership skills in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff and maintain patient confidentiality
