Cardiac/Telemetry Clinical Nurse

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment and educates patients and families on illness management and post-treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and engages in professional development. Develops and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, family or caregiver, and communicates the plan across the continuum of care. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural and population-specific needs of patients. The role is designated as safety-sensitive with the expectation to maintain alertness and safety. Education requirements include Nursing Diploma/Associate's with RN licensure; Bachelor's Degree preferred and <2 years experience is noted as typical.
