Job Summary
Performs invasive cardiac, peripheral vascular diagnostic, interventional and electrophysiology procedures using sophisticated imaging, hemodynamic monitoring and recording equipment to assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease; requires an associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent experience; RCIS certification within 12 months of hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire; PALS if applicable to position; ability to work with growth and development needs of diverse client populations including children to geriatrics; strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-ray techniques and emergent and routine cardiac care; proficient in pharmacologic options to treat patients and conscious sedation protocols; effective cardiac communication, change management and conflict resolution skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent experience is required
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 12 months of hire is preferred
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if applicable to position is preferred
- Certification as RCIS within 12 months of hire is required
- ACLS is required within 6 months of hire and PALS if applicable to position is preferred
