Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) Interview Day 9/16/2026 Registered Nurses

Perform competent nursing care for critically ill cardiac surgical patients, including those post-CABG, valve repair, aneurysm repair, TAVR, ablations, heart transplantation, and ECMO support. Manage patients requiring intensive hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, multiple drug infusions, IABP therapy, and CRRT. Maintain standards of practice through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation while collaborating with providers and families. This interview day invites qualified RNs to discuss open positions for the 20-bed CSICU at Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA. Candidates must hold a Virginia RN license and one year of RN experience, with a preference for cardiac or stepdown background. A 12-week Transition to Practice program supports new critical care nurses.
