Job Summary
Cardiac Stress Technician and Medical Assistant to support an imaging center. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exercise and pharmacologic stress testing, performing and monitoring cardiac stress tests under physician supervision, documenting vital signs and test results, placing ECG leads, initiating IV access, and monitoring patients during imaging procedures. In the Medical Assistant role, room patients, record vital signs and histories, assist with examinations and in-office procedures, perform phlebotomy, administer medications and injections per physician orders, coordinate scheduling and referrals, maintain exam rooms and infection control standards, and provide patient education. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and medical assistant certification; at least 1 year of cardiology/diagnostic testing experience preferred; BLS required. Proficiency with EMR (Athena) and clinical equipment is expected. Work location is Philadelphia, PA, full-time with a compensation range of $25.00–$27.00 per hour, plus benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certification
- Minimum one year of experience in cardiology, diagnostic testing, or clinical setting preferred
- Demonstrated IV insertion and management experience
- Experience performing cardiac stress testing strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, ECG placement, and patient care procedures
- Proficiency with EMR systems and standard clinical equipment
