Job Summary
Monitor patients' cardiac status, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect changes or abnormalities. Administer medications as prescribed, including intravenous drugs, cardiac medications, and pain management. Perform assessments of patients' cardiac status, review medical histories, and evaluate symptoms. Provide education to patients and families about cardiac conditions, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practices. React promptly to cardiac emergencies, including arrhythmias, cardiac arrests, or respiratory distress, by implementing emergency procedures, administering CPR, and aiding in defibrillation. Work days from 7:00am to 7:00pm with a $2 to $6 differential.
Required Qualifications
- Current valid State Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred
