Job Summary
PRN Cardiac Sonographer role at Memorial Hospital Belleville in the Heart and Vascular Center of Excellence. Performs a variety of cardiac testing including treadmill stress testing, Holter monitoring, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, stress echo and Doppler. Maintains accurate patient logs and updates daily charges in the computer; maintains cardiac lab patient files. Requires RDCS registry and RDCS credential; education includes high school diploma or GED with an Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Allied Health/Sonography preferred. No call and PRN schedule; site offers opportunities across Memorial Belleville and related facilities. Eligible new grads and experienced sonographers are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- RDCS Registry (required)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency
- Experience: No Experience required (but preferred 0-2 years)
- Licenses & Certifications: RDCS or equivalent
- CPR certification (preferred)
Desired Qualifications

- Echocardiography experience (Echo Tech/Echocardiographer)
- Cardiac Sonography proficiency
- ACLS certification (preferred)
- Chronic cardiac imaging skills (treadmill stress testing, holter monitoring, transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echo, stress echo, cardiac doppler)
