Job Summary
The Cardiac Sonographer performs a variety of cardiac testing including treadmill stress testing, Holter monitoring, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, stress echo, and Doppler in an acute care hospital setting. Responsibilities include conducting tests at multiple locations, maintaining accurate patient logs, updating daily charges in the computer, using cardiac lab menus, and preserving cardiac lab patient files. Requires RDCS certification and an Associate's Degree or trade school equivalency; preferred education includes Allied Health/Sonography and up to 2 years of experience. Day shift (8:00 am–4:30 pm) with every 7th weekend call rotation; offers full-time employment at Memorial Hospital Belleville, IL, with benefits and career development opportunities.
