Job Summary
Performs routine and special cardiac ultrasound exams under supervision in inpatient settings, analyzes test data and communicates findings to reading cardiologists to aid diagnosis and treatment planning, and operates/troubleshoots ultrasound equipment to ensure accurate results and patient safety. Maintains CPR certification and adheres to professional standards. Role requires eligible RDCS or RCS within 18 months of start date; collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues to deliver high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ultrasound training
- 0-1 years in healthcare
- Eligible for Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI; must obtain RDCS or RCS within 18 months of start date
- Maintains CPR certification to adhere to industry standards
