Job Summary

Perform diagnostic cardiac imaging and patient care under supervision, progressing from entry-level task completion to advanced independent management of testing modalities. Execute unit-specific clinical pathways while collaborating with clinicians to anticipate and manage predictable patient events. Maintain current BLS and AHA certifications, ensuring all procedures align with hospital policy and safety standards. This role is based at the main campus in St. Petersburg, FL, with occasional travel to regional outpatient centers. Full-time day shift employment includes an on-call rotation for weeknights and weekends.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Eligible for specialty registry through ARDMS or CCI
  • Current BLS certification, AHA
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • On-Call is required
  • Travel to additional outpatient care centers in the region (approximately 30-45 minutes from main campus)
  • Drug-free workplace employer compliance

Desired Qualifications

  • Dual registries (ex. ARDMS: Pediatric Echo, Fetal Echo, Adult Echo OR CCI: Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer, Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS))
  • Additional clinical experience or credentials in lieu of some education
