Job Summary
Perform an extensive range of cardiac ultrasound studies including Transthoracic, Exercise, and Pharmacologic Stress Echocardiograms. Provide education and clinical instruction to cardiac sonography students and cardiology fellows. Access and correlate patient medical history while providing proper documentation. This role supports the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Imaging team at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, a 420-bed teaching hospital and trauma center in Baltimore. Candidates must hold a CAAHEPP-accredited degree, RDCS or RCS certification, and a BS in Diagnostic Ultrasound is preferred. Full-time day shift employment includes Monday through Friday hours with a Saturday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Program (CAAHEPP) - accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI)
- Authorization to Work in the United States
- BS in Diagnostic Ultrasound preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Experience as a Cardiac Sonographer in a hospital based environment
- Additional experience as a vascular technologist
