Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic cardiac testing for pediatric patients under supervision, progressing from entry-level task completion to independent management of complex cases. Perform advanced echocardiography, fetal imaging, and congenital cardiac assessments while adhering to clinical pathways and interdisciplinary collaboration standards. Requires current BLS and AHA certification, specialty registry through ARDMS or CCI, and ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Full-time day shift with mandatory on-call rotation including weeknights and weekends. Occasional travel to regional outpatient centers is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Eligible for specialty registry through ARDMS or CCI
- Current BLS certification, AHA
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- On-Call is required
- Travel to additional outpatient care centers in the region (30-45 minutes from main campus)
- Approved diagnostic medical sonography program graduate (Sonographer II and III levels)
Desired Qualifications
- Dual registries (ex. ARDMS: Pediatric Echo, Fetal Echo, Adult Echo OR CCI: Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer, Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS))
- Additional clinical experience or credentials in lieu of some education (Sonographer II and III levels)
