Job Summary
Perform extensive cardiac ultrasound studies including transthoracic, exercise, and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms. Provide education and clinical instruction to cardiac sonography students and cardiology fellows. Access and correlate patient medical history while providing proper documentation. This role supports the diagnosis and care of patients with heart failure, valve disease, and aneurysm at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Full-time day shift rotation with Saturday availability.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Program (CAAHEPP) - accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI)
Desired Qualifications
- BS in Diagnostic Ultrasound preferred
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred but not required
- Experience as a Cardiac Sonographer in a hospital based environment
- Additional experience as a vascular technologist
