Job Summary

Cardiac Sonographer I performs an extensive range of cardiac ultrasound studies in clinical and research settings, including Transthoracic, Exercise, and Pharmacologic Stress Echocardiograms, and procedures such as echo-guided myocardial biopsies and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy studies. Works closely with Staff Sonographers, Level II/III staff, Medical Staff, Investigators, and provides clinical instructor responsibilities to JHH Ultrasound students and Cardiology Fellows in the Echo Lab. Requires completion of a CAAHEP-accredited diagnostic program and certification (RDCS or RCS); RVT preferred but not required. Roles are based in hospital locations in Fargo, ND and Belcamp, MD, with salary ranging from $39.56 to $65.56 per hour and schedule modifications at the employer’s discretion.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic program required
  • Graduation from a CAAHEP–accredited Diagnostic ultrasound program required
  • Experience as a Cardiac Sonographer in a hospital-based environment or additional experience as a vascular technologist is desirable
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI is required
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred but not required
  • Salary range indicated as hourly compensation (39.56/hour to 65.56/hour) with compensation commensurate with experience
