Job Summary
Perform an extensive range of cardiac ultrasound studies including Transthoracic, Exercise, and Pharmacologic Stress Echocardiograms. Provide education and clinical instruction to cardiac sonography students and cardiology fellows. Access and correlate patient medical history while providing proper documentation. This role supports the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Imaging team at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, diagnosing conditions such as Heart Failure, Heart Valve Disease, and Aneurysm. Candidates must hold a CAAHEPP-accredited degree and RDCS or RCS certification. Full-time day shift employment includes a Saturday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Program (CAAHEPP) - accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI)
- Authorization to Work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- BS in Diagnostic Ultrasound
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Experience as a Cardiac Sonographer in a hospital based environment
- Additional experience as a vascular technologist
