Job Summary
Cardiac Sonographer I performs an extensive range of cardiac ultrasound studies in clinical and research settings, including Transthoracic, Exercise, and Pharmacologic Stress Echocardiograms, as well as special procedures dictated by research protocols. Work involves collaboration with Staff Sonographers, Level II/III staff, medical personnel, investigators, and may include clinical instructor responsibilities to Johns Hopkins Ultrasound students and Cardiology Fellows in the Echo Lab. Requires completion of a CAAHEP-accredited diagnostic program and relevant certification; RDCS or RCS is required; RVT is preferred but not required. Salary range is $39.56-$65.56/hour, with compensation commensurate with experience. Location: Aberdeen, MD. Johns Hopkins Health System is a drug-free workplace.
Required Qualifications
- CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic ultrasound program
- RDCS or RCS certification (ARDMS or CCI)
- minimum clinical experience in hospital-based environment (preferred in vascular technologist)
