Job Summary
Performs routine and special cardiac ultrasound exams under supervision of the department supervisor with emphasis on safe, high-quality imaging. Analyzes test data and communicates findings to reading cardiologists to aid diagnosis and treatment planning, enabling collaboration between the sonographer and cardiologists. Operates, troubleshoots, and requests repair of ultrasound equipment to ensure reliable results and patient safety. Maintains CPR certification and adheres to professional standards while providing Relationship Based Care to support patient preferences and effective communication with patients and families. Requires ultrasound training and a high school diploma; 0-1 years in healthcare; eligibility to obtain RDCS or RCS within 18 months of start date.
