Job Summary
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures while demonstrating knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups and communicates effectively with staff and radiologists. Requires a graduate of an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program, one year of hospital cardiac sonography experience, and BCLS certification. Registration with RCS, ARDCS, or CCI is mandatory. Full-time day shift at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
- 1 year of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer
- ARDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
- CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International
