Job Summary
Review patient history and physician orders, then educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation and set expectations for result receipt. Independently perform echocardiography procedures by selecting transducers, differentiating anatomical structures, and adjusting exposure factors while monitoring patient condition and administering contrast media when indicated. Implement safety standards, perform quality control on equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and analyze imaging results to identify issues. Enter, transmit, and report scan findings. This onsite role at UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion in Aurora, CO, requires a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with a current BLS or CPR certification. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program
- Associate's degree in allied health
- Bachelor's degree in any area
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- 1 year experience preferred
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
