Job Summary
Review patient history and physician orders, then educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Independently perform echocardiography procedures by selecting appropriate transducers and imaging parameters, while administering contrast media or medications when indicated. Monitor patient conditions, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and report scan results. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Full-time, 80-hour pay period; salary $42.01–$58.82/hour depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program
- Associate's degree in allied health
- Bachelor's degree in any area
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- BLS through the American Heart Association
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date through the American Red Cross
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
