Job Summary
Perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on adult and geriatric patients. Maintain performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC. Work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including rotating weekend shifts and on-call duties one weekend per month. Requires Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer credential from ARDMS or CCI, plus American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Required Qualifications
- An appropriate credential in echocardiography
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
- Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
Desired Qualifications
- Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography
- Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program
