Job Summary
Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound recordings and Doppler data; obtain measurements and calculations; prepare a summary for the Echocardiologist; operate PACS and maintain patient files; rotate between NSHA clinical sites and provide after-hours call back; assist the Echocardiologist during transesophageal, dobutamine stress echo, exercise stress echo, and contrast studies; must be a graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program with required certification and licensure; travel to various sites is required; on-site duties in a permanent full-time role with 75 hours biweekly; compensation $43.56-$52.45 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Nova Scotia Health professional licensure or equivalent (NSCMIRTP)
- Experience with echocardiography procedures and reporting as described in the posting
