Job Summary
Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment to conduct echo sonography examinations following safety protocols. Perform Resting Echo, Carotid Intima-Media Thickness (CIMT), and FibroScans for patients while reviewing medical history and obtaining consent. Use proper positioning tools for patient comfort and ergonomics, applying independent judgment to safely perform diagnostic procedures. Operate the PACS so physicians can report findings, acquire additional images as needed, and document limitations. Execute quality control procedures to ensure equipment operates at optimal levels and verify results meet facility standards before release. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality while assisting with patient flow and collaborating with clinic staff to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized post diploma Echocardiography program
- At least one year of recent experience as an Echo Sonographer
- CMRITO Specialty certification for Echocardiography
- Experience with Carotid Intima-Media Thickness (CIMT) and FibroScan
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Word and Outlook and PACS
