Job Summary
Perform high-quality Transthoracic (TTE) examinations according to established cardiac protocols, adapting techniques using professional judgment. Assist cardiologists with Stress Echocardiograms and Transesophageal (TEE) procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Analyze cardiac structural measurements and blood flow dynamics to present comprehensive technical findings for diagnostic treatment planning. Provide empathetic patient education and maintain clean, fully stocked exam rooms while completing essential quality assurance logging. Utilize advanced digital PACS and Cardiovascular Information Systems for efficient image archiving and preliminary documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program specializing in Echocardiography
- Active RDCS (through ARDMS) OR RCS (through CCI) credential
- Must obtain your registry certification within 12 months of your hire date
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS / CPR) certification required
- Deep understanding of cardiac anatomy and pathology
- Seamless interdisciplinary communication skills
- Computer literacy
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting
