Job Summary
Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures on all patient populations except pediatric patients while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography to recognize abnormal structures and correlate findings into useful studies. Deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new methods and utilize ancillary devices such as selected transducers. Requires BLS certification and ability to adapt to diverse patient needs within South Shore Health & Educational Corporation services.
Required Qualifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography
- Ability to recognize abnormal structure
- Ability to correlate information into a useful study
- Ability to deviate from normal techniques, when necessary, to develop new techniques
- Ability to utilize ancillary devices, i.e., selected transducers
