Job Summary
Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures of a professional level on all patient populations serviced by South Shore Health & Educational Corporation, excluding pediatric patients. Ensure the safety, mental, and physical comfort of every patient during exams. Demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography by recognizing abnormal structures and correlating findings into useful studies. Deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new methods and utilize ancillary devices, including selected transducers. Requires BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography
- Ability to recognize abnormal structure
- Ability to correlate information into a useful study
- Ability to deviate from normal techniques, when necessary, to develop new techniques
- Ability to utilize ancillary devices, i.e., selected transducers
