Job Summary
Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures on all patient populations serviced by South Shore Health & Educational Corporation except pediatric patients. Prioritize the safety, mental, and physical comfort of every patient during imaging. Demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography by recognizing abnormal structures and correlating findings into useful studies. Deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new approaches and utilize ancillary devices such as selected transducers. Requires BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography
- Ability to recognize abnormal structure
- Ability to correlate information into a useful study
- Ability to deviate from normal techniques, when necessary, to develop new techniques
- Ability to utilize ancillary devices, i.e., selected transducers
