Job Summary
Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures on all patient populations serviced by South Shore Health & Educational Corporation except pediatric patients. Ensure patient safety, mental, and physical comfort during exams. Recognize abnormal structures, correlate findings into useful studies, and deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new methods. Utilize ancillary devices, including selected transducers, to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography. BLS certification required.
Required Qualifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography
- Ability to recognize abnormal structure
- Ability to correlate information into a useful study
- Ability to deviate from normal techniques, when necessary, to develop new techniques
- Ability to utilize ancillary devices, i.e., selected transducers
