Job Summary
Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures on all patient populations served by South Shore Health & Educational Corporation, excluding pediatric patients. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging. Recognize abnormal structures, correlate findings into useful studies, and deviate from normal techniques to develop new methods when necessary. Utilize ancillary devices such as selected transducers. Requires BLS certification and demonstrated competency in cardiovascular echocardiography.
Required Qualifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography
- Ability to recognize abnormal structure
- Ability to correlate information into a useful study
- Ability to deviate from normal techniques, when necessary, to develop new techniques
- Ability to utilize ancillary devices, i.e., selected transducers
