Job Summary
Assess client fitness and athletic performance capacities, identify movement dysfunction, and develop treatment programs to assist in rehabilitation, return to play, injury prevention, and sports performance goals. Deliver exercise plans in 1:1, small group, and large group settings while overseeing the "Return to Play" program for injured clients. Educate clients on exercise technique and equipment use, then document results and training in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Maintain equipment to ensure a safe environment and adhere to health department codes. Provide mentorship, training, and oversight to Exercise Therapists and Exercise Specialists. Requires Basic Life Support certification, a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field, and ability to lift, ambulate patients, and navigate crowded rooms.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field at an accredited institution
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is preferred
