Job Summary
Conduct fitness and athletic performance assessments to identify movement dysfunction and rehabilitation opportunities. Develop and deliver personalized treatment programs in 1:1, small, and large group settings to support return-to-play goals and injury prevention. Educate clients on exercise techniques and equipment usage while documenting results and maintaining medical equipment to ensure safety. Oversee the "Return to Play" program by communicating progress with physical therapists and physicians. Provide mentorship, training, and oversight to Exercise Therapists and Exercise Specialists. Maintain a clean environment adhering to health department codes. Requires Basic Life Support certification, a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field, and ability to lift, ambulate patients, and navigate busy clinical spaces.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field at an accredited institution
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is preferred
