Job Summary

Assess client fitness and athletic performance capacities, identify movement dysfunction, and develop treatment programs for rehabilitation, return to play, and injury prevention. Deliver exercise plans in 1:1, small, and large groups while educating clients on technique and equipment use. Oversee the "Return to Play" program, communicating progress with physical therapists and physicians. Document results, maintain equipment, and ensure a clean environment per health codes. Mentor Exercise Therapists and Specialists. Requires BLS certification, a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field, and ability to lift, ambulate patients, and navigate busy clinical spaces.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field at an accredited institution
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
  • Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time

Desired Qualifications

  • Clinical experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is preferred
