Job Summary
The Lead Cardiac Rehab Exercise Physiologist positions require expertise in assisting patients with guided education, risk factor reduction, and exercise rehabilitation. Responsibilities include assuming accountability for patients during clinic sessions, providing guidance and leadership to staff, and participating in decision-making regarding department operations. The role demands proficiency in EKG interpretation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and educate patients. A Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, BLS, and ACLS certifications are obligatory, along with three years of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- M.S. in accredited Exercise Physiology program
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- Current BLS, ACLS certification or obtain within 90 days of Employment
- EKG/rhythm interpretation training required
- Excellent communication/writing skills
- Physical and emotional stamina
- Highly personable, and outgoing
- Competent in computerized documentation
- Critical thinking and assessment skills
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years previous experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation preferred
- Proficient in telemetry interpretation skills
- Knowledge in cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology preferred
- Basic Computer skills
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Ability to multitask, team player
- Ability to motivate and educate people in the area of Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
