Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and administer cardiac stress tests including treadmill, chemical, and nuclear modalities for inpatients and outpatients. Design individualized exercise and education plans, continuously revising them based on clinical response while monitoring vital metrics and treating dysrhythmias per ACLS protocols. Provide targeted patient education on cardiovascular risk factors and lifestyle modifications, maintaining accurate documentation of progress and communicating changes to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Medical Director and primary physicians. Requires current RN license or Exercise Physiology certification, BLS and ACLS certifications, and two years of cardiac rehab experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing AND active RN license in the State Texas
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology AND Certification in Exercise Physiology
- Master's degree in Exercise Physiology
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Two or more years of recent experience in cardiac rehab or critical care
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lift 10 lbs. alone and 150 lbs. with assistance
- Must be able to stand and walk 75% of shift on hard surfaces
- Must be able to bend, stoop and reach above one's head
