Job Summary
Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine, therapeutic nuclear medicine, PET scanning, diagnostic CT, cardiac stress lab functions, and radiopharmacy functions as required. Execute SPECT, SPECT CT, PET, and PET CT imaging on a rotational basis while conducting quality control on Nuclear Medicine instrumentation. Order and administer radiopharmaceuticals including positron emitters, perform venipuncture for medication administration, and ensure patient safety under the corporate ALARA Radiation Safety Program. Maintain accurate records for the Florida Department of Health, participate in process improvement and ACR accreditation activities, and provide patient and family education. Work across multiple facilities in Lake, Sumter, and Marion counties to support early disease detection and effective treatment plans.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Maintains current certification as both a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) AND Positron Emission Tomography (PET) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Maintains current certification in both American Registry of Radiology Technologists in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT) (N); AND Positron Emission Tomography (PET) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Maintains current Florida State License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist
- Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification
- Must have knowledge of Nuclear Medicine, PET, and CT equipment, procedures, and radiation safety
