Job Summary
Review patient ECG data and algorithm findings for clinical accuracy, identifying and documenting cardiac rhythms, arrhythmias, and clinically significant events. Notify physicians of abnormalities per protocol, prepare preliminary reports, and perform 100% quality assurance on final reports. Assist with monitor use, troubleshoot device issues, and answer calls for patient or physician assistance while maintaining excellent customer service. Maintain compliance with job-specific proficiency requirements, including CCT certification, and continuously develop clinical knowledge in ECG rhythm interpretation. Schedule is flexible to meet position requirements, with an estimated hourly range of $22.40 to $33.60 USD.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Associate degree (AA) or two years college course work
- Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT)
- 3-5+ years of experience as a telemetry/monitor technician
- Proficient in MS Internet Explorer, Excel and various MS office programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent phone manner
- Strong leadership skills
- Organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Awareness of internal and external customer needs
- Ability to understand the importance of a team concept
- Must be flexible in terms of working hours
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day
- Must be able to speak clearly on the telephone
